Our recent discussion about scope of practice and whether Physical Therapy is within the realm of chiropractic is dealt with by Dr. Bob Braille in this artcle. I think you'll enjoy what he has to say. Feel welcome to post your comments on this matter. It's an issue that our profession needs to deal with, and it may not be totally played out until long after you are in practice.
I am impressed and glad at the honesty and accountability expressed by Dr. Braile, regardless of the practitioner's degree.// I am in agreement with clearly promoting chiropractic as "specific scientific chiropractic adjustments". Making our profession distinct is essential. But subluxation needs needs to be expanded beyond a bone-on-nerve explanation, for it plops us back into allopathic/mechanistic models. The description of chiropractic that will show our specialness will need to include emphasis on describing funtional outcomes, and not merely "removal of interference"
